The InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers is ideal for convention-goers and business travellers thanks to a convenient location and business friendly amenities.
For those who don’t want to cross the street, accessible from the tenth floor Skywalk is the Sandton City Shopping Complex and Sandton Convention Centre.
The check in staff was very friendly and helpful, treating everyone as individuals rather than just the next face in the queue.
***Guests are charged a hefty holding fee on their credit card, refundable on check out.
A walk in wardrobe (and place to store your suitcase) leads onto a decadent bathroom well away from the main room. Two magnifying mirrors, a hairdryer and the little toiletry touches for which the InterContinental brand is renowned made me regret bringing my own.
A safe actually large enough to store goods is in the same hall leading to the bathroom, really giving you the room to not feel like you’ve just arrived and are just about to depart.
Add to this a BOSE iPod dock, TV and DVD player (DVDs are available from the Business Centre) and a great coffee machine, and you’re set to settle in and get to work or relax in front of the box.
