Air Canada and South African Airways (SAA) have signed a new code share agreement to offer customers “seamless” travel between Canada and South Africa.
Effective 13 December 2013, the deal will see SAA code share on Air Canada services between London and Vancouver, Toronto and New York’s John F Kennedy, while Air Canada will code share on SAA flights between London and Johannesburg, Cape Town and JFK.
With passengers connecting between the carriers in London or New York given the option to fly on a single itinerary, SAA acting general manager commercial, Manoj Papa said travellers would “greatly benefit” from the agreement and the resulting “travel choices”.
In addition to a single itinerary, travellers will also benefit from reciprocal frequent flyer programs.
