Since opening its doors in 2017, Port Vila’s newest resort has been looking after families and couples alike in their spacious, modern, self-contained suites and apartments, the vast majority of which have balconies that overlook the emerald waters of Erakor Lagoon.

Guests have loved relaxing around the lagoon style pool and the swim-up pool bar is a real favourite for a refreshing afternoon cocktail.  The resort has proved to be very popular with guests in its first year of operation with the property receiving a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

Mr George Dechaineux, Managing Director Ramada Resort Port Vila said, “We have been very busy improving our offerings over the last 12 months. We have opened Kesorn Spa, offering guests an oasis to enjoy a Thai inspired treatment and there’s now a daily activities board with lots of entertaining things to do and see for both kids and adults as well as a special kids area designed for playtime!  From a dining perspective, we have introduced our themed nights: Wednesday, Taste of Asia with fire show; Friday, Flavour of Oceania Buffet with Polynesian dancers and every Thursday and Saturday evenings, there is live, local entertainment at the Sport’s Bar”, said Mr Dechaineux.

Kesorn Spa offers a range of Thai therapies such as Aroma & Thai Herbal Hot compress Massage that relieves pain and inflammation. The blend of traditional Thai herbs used in these compresses has a relaxing and invigorating effect on the body and mind, soothing sore and overworked muscles while giving the body’s energy reserves a huge boost.

At Akiriki Restaurant, the Taste of Asia buffet dinner on Wednesdays will offer a variety of Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines such as sushis, tom yum soup, spring rolls, siu mai, green papaya salad… accompanied with a fire show on the beach.

On Friday, the Flavour of Oceania buffet spread will feature a live BBQ cooking station, fish salad in coconut milk and Polynesian dancers to entertain the guests.

Both children and adults will be kept entertained with a daily program of activities such as a sarong tying class, fish feeding, sand drawing… scheduled throughout the day.

And further enhancements are in the pipeline, with the resort adding an exclusive cocktail menu designed by a mixologist at The Lounge Bar as well as some new menus for both the Akiriki Restaurant and the Sports Bar.

Looking to the future, Mr Dechaineux has said “A key focus of Ramada Resort Port Vila for the next two years will be the wedding market. Having already hosted two wedding groups in our first year of operation, we are looking forward to increasing this market segment from both Australia and New Zealand and to welcoming couples to celebrate their special day in paradise.”
