A Lufthansa A350-900 in Munich Airport´s train station
Ever experienced the Airbus A350-900 in a train station? If not, then make your way to the Munich Airport’s S-Bahn station to see the world’s most modern and environmentally friendly long-haul aircraft at close range. The installation is located on the other side of the tracks and shows the Lufthansa Airbus in its original size of 230 meters. The special feature here is that the aircraft windows are covered with reflective foil, which means that passengers waiting on the platform and even those sitting on the S-Bahn can see themselves in the A350-900. Aircraft fans, passengers and visitors to Munich Airport can marvel at the A350-900 at the Munich Airport S-Bahn station all year round.
With the A350-900, Lufthansa is deploying a state-of-the-art fleet in Munich. In February 2019, 13 aircraft will take off from their home base in Munich to fly to North America, India and Asia. The A350-900 seats 293 passengers: 48 guests in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 224 in Economy Class. The aircraft is the world’s most modern and environmentally friendly long-haul aircraft. It consumes 25 percent less kerosene, generates 25 percent less emissions and is significantly quieter at take-off than comparable types of aircraft. Lufthansa has ordered a total of 25 jets of this type.
