VOMO Island Fiji GM Departing
VOMO Island Fiji will bid a sad farewell to longstanding resort GM Mark Leslie and his family in March. Mark is moving on after 6 years at the luxury resort with some significant achievements to his credit. These include the complete refurbishment of the villas in 2015, the opening of the 5 star PADI Dive centre and Kui Spa, followed closely by the significant rebuild after Cyclone Winston in 2016.
During Mark’s tenure he has also opened the two luxury Palms and BeacHouse multi bedroom residences, with a further two residences in progress, due for completion in early 2020.
Mark’s wife, Renee and son Lochie, will also be sadly missed by team VOMO. Renee has been integral in implementing many island enhancements and little Lochie has been a great little eco-warrior on island. The VOMO team’s final farewell song, Isa Lei, will be a very sad moment for all.
Mark’s time at VOMO will conclude with him turning on the water to fill the new adults-only Rocks swimming pool, which is due to open soon, another fantastic enhancement for VOMO Island.
VOMO’s new General Manager, Justin King, starts in April. Justin has previously managed an island resort in the Yasawa region, so is no stranger to Fiji.
He is no stranger to the world of luxury resorts either, being instrumental in the creation and management of an Australian icon, Saffire Freycinet Lodge in Tasmania for the past 6 years. Justin has also held senior roles in London, Doha and Sydney throughout his career. These are exciting times as a new chapter of gracious luxury and hospitality at VOMO begins.
