Cruise Line Treats Guests to Exclusive Daryl Braithwaite Concert
Guests on a luxury international cruise line will be treated to what might just be the most iconic Aussie experience imaginable on an upcoming voyage – an exclusive concert with Daryl Braithwaite and his band in Darwin.
Azamara Club Cruises boutique 690-guest ship, Azamara Quest, will offer the complimentary show exclusively to guests when the ship overnights in Darwin on 12 March, as part of a 14-Night Australia and Indonesia Voyage – meaning international and local guests can belt out “The Horses” with the legendary singer, included as part of their cruise.
Hosted at the Darwin Convention Centre, guests will be greeted with a cocktail reception on arrival, and a performance by Darwin local sensation, Ali Arjibuk Mills. – renowned for her stunning Kriol rendition of “Waltzing Matilda”. Darryl Braithwaite and his band will then take to the stage with a string of chart-topping hits.
The concert is part of the line’s unique “AzAmazing Evenings” program – complimentary, exclusive evenings filled with music, dance, and more in settings unique to each destination, included on cruises seven nights or longer. Other upcoming international events include a “Concert at the Rock of Gibraltar” and “Ephesus: Back to Roman Times” – a private concert at archaeological wonder, the Odeon in Ephesus, Turkey.
Azamara is renowned as an immersive cruise line, offering more late nights and longer stays in port than any other cruise line, and has offered 13 overnights and 23 late night stays (8pm or later) during Quest’s local 2018/19 summer season.
Hotel Director, Philip Herbert, says the company works with luxury tour operator, Abercrombie and Kent, to curate bespoke experiences that bring a destination to life: “We work really hard to create unforgettable AzAmazing Evenings all over the world, and this will be no exception. Our Darryl Braithwaite event in Darwin will be a stirring experience for our local guests, and a sight to behold for the international ones – we expect quite the singalong!”
Daryl Braithwaite began his career as the lead singer of the band Sherbet and continued on with a successful solo career. He’s placed 15 hits in the top 40, including two number one sensations, “The Horses” and “You’re My World.”
The show is offered exclusively to Azamara Quest guests.
