As part of the OceaniaNEXT initiative, Oceania Cruises’ Insignia has returned to Australia, now the cruise line’s second largest global market.

Insignia is the first of Oceania Cruises’ R-Class vessels to undergo a ‘better-than-new’ refurbishment.

OceaniaNEXT encompasses the most comprehensive suite of product and guest service enhancements that the brand has ever undertaken – kickstarting with a USD$100 million investment to completely transform its four R-class vessels, starting with Insignia.

Emerging from drydock on the 7th of December 2018, Insignia has made her way to local waters via the South Pacific as part of her 180 day Around the World Cruise. After cruising New Zealand waters, she visits Sydney today before reaching Brisbane on 6thof March, giving guests and our travel agent partners their first chance to experience the refurbished ship first-hand.

Insignia’s stunning re-inspiration will be followed by sister ships Sirena in May 2019, Regatta in September 2019 and Nautica in June 2020. Already renowned for being cruising’s destination specialists, which delivers The Finest Cuisine at Sea™ onboard a fleet of intimate and luxurious ships, the OceaniaNEXT programme has been designed to provide new and repeat guests with even more reasons to discover the world with Oceania Cruises.

Other highlights of the re-inspiration include re-imagined menus featuring more authentic regional colour, flavour and local wines; dramatically transformed public spaces, refurbished restaurants and lounges featuring fresh furniture, lighting and ocean-inspired colour palettes, in addition to brand-new staterooms and suites.

All accommodation aboard Insignia, Regatta, Nautica and Sirena will emerge with new bathrooms, new closets, desks and vanities, new sofas, chairs and tables, new lighting and mirrors, new upholstery, carpets and drapers, and state-of-the-art technology including interactive TV systems and USB ports.
