Skål International Perth 250 announced an inaugural award for ‘Club Member of the Year Award
This award recognises members within the club who are true advocate and active in the club, attends regular club events, is proactive in supporting Skål and its vision and actively encourages others to join Skål.
George Booth was recognised as the inaugural award winner with overwhelming support from the membership. He started in the Travel & Tourism industry in 1955 selling The Gorgon, Charon and The Centaur. His career has spanned across retail, wholesale, marketing, mentoring, sales development and has held positions as a past AFTA WA President, held a position on the Tourism WA Board, the national Board of AFTA, President Travel League WA, Past President of Skål Perth and is the President Inbound Tour Operators Association and inaugural Life Member.
“George is such a deserving winner of this award, having supported many of our members throughout their own careers. He embraces change and encourages others to embrace change and continues to work closely with our club and the future of our club with Perth Young Skal.” Said Nicola Strudwick.
